Who are Friends of Competitive Math?
Problem sets given are done with a purpose. Difficult sets are used to force thinking and making points in problem set-up and reaching an insightful moment. Problems could be above what some math clubs use! Encouragement is given to answer to harder and more exciting problems to enjoy mathematics.

Do you hold special sessions on Federal Holidays and School In-service / Student Holidays?
Yes - Special sessions are available based on interest (indivudal / group sessions requested).

Please inquire up to a week in advance of student holidays.

Please inquire at least 3 days in advance for federal government holidays (e.g. Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, MLK Jr. Day, President's Day).

Is homework help available?!?!
Yes - Individual and group sessions for homework review are possible. Clients are asked to bring their problems and questions to discuss.

Discussion on topics is not limited to classroom methodology. Rather, we focus on real math to illustrate concepts. Proper techniques and treatment of topics is emphasized.

We ask though for clients to not be math adverse coming. We are here to celebrate math and will show the power / benefits of math, but not always answering "why" or utilitarian teaching philosophies (everything must be immediately applied math).
